Hi everyone.

Just wanted to share this beauty with everyone. I bought this one "back of the house" style from my man Blaid; thanks Dave!

Anyway, I've been holding out for a scandi BCkarda for a while now and I'm so glad I ran in to this one. I'm digging the Black on Black with a blue pinstripe. Also, look at that Spalting!

It's a January 2012 knife (from the last batch before Andy moved to the new shop). Here is the link to the original sales thread

The second I removed it from the box, I was reminded about the thicker handles that Andy used to do. This knife has that quintessential older handle. Just melts into your hand. Some of the newer Fiddlebackers might not have an appreciation for this, so I wanted to share this stat:

The handle thickness at the palm swell mic'ed to 0.955 inches! Nice and thick and awesome.

Hope you enjoy!

Wow. You ever get tired of this one .. i call dibs on first refusal. :D

I'll take it ;)
Very nice mate. That spalting is out of this world. I hope to score one some time soon.

Very nice. It's hard to come by spalting that nice anymore. She's a keeper!

That's a nice one. That spalting is cray cray. I love Andy's older handles, well his older work in general. His latest stuff is awesome and keeps getting better, but his older stuff, I don't know, there's just something about it. Andy's older stuff has mojo.

Blaid is a good ol' boy.

Nice score! Enjoy.

That is a very cool knife that just begs to do some work. A true score!

Amazing Spalting on this one. And a nice thick handle. Great knife.

Beautiful knife, velosa, thanks for sharing. It does look like a sportscar ...

It is interesting to read through the sales thread from back then … the knives do carry a different 'aura', and if you really want to see how far this train has come, take a look at the time stamps on the string of posts … quite a contrast to what a FB Friday looks like today … !
