THOUGHT ID SHARE MY NEW FAVORITE BLADE:

I WAS ALREADY A FAN OF THE CONVEX "ZERO EDGE" I BELIEVE IT IS CALLED, 'CAUSE MY BOSSJACK ROCKS IT SO HARD.

THIS BLADE THOUGH. SHEESH. AWESOME. USER TILL IT PUKES!

Jack is awesome. If knife hunter has any of the "EMBRACE THE SUCK" blades left after the creek next weekend.... A guy can hope.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Love the snakeskin!!!!!
Congrats timmy!!!

Tigerhide I do believe. I wish there were a third color in there. I like it either way.

Ya know, I thought for a minute that it was tigerhide, but then I thought no, its more red, that must be snakeskin. :foot:
Love it either way! --- :D

Timmy,

That is a nice looking SJTAC with the tigerhide grips! How do you like the TAC handle? While I like the old style handle found on the SJ & BJ, I like the TAC handle too – I find it very comfy.

The SJTAC LE is .22" thick, while the CG is 3/16"; is yours an LE or CG (hard to tell by looking at the photo)? Either way, it is a great looking knife – congratulations!

Gene

LE #245 I believe. TAC handles are nice. I don't have anything to really compare it to as far as pre TAC handle. There hasn't been a BUSSE KIN handle that didn't have a redeeming quality or two.

Overall, I'll probably thin the shoulder directly behind the convex a bit, nothing drastic though. Just enough to make the cutting edge pop a bit.

A tad heavy for edc, but as a blade to get things done, I have no doubt that it would.

The original straight handle Satin Jack preceded the SJTAC, and its handle is very similar to the Boss Jack. Some SJs were .25" thick and later ones 3/16", so that makes a difference in how the handle feels.

Yes, the SJTAC LE is heavier than someone might guess, with the increased thickness (.22") and convex grind compared to the SJTAC CG (3/16" thick).
