Very nice; those axes look in pretty great shape, though in need of a little re-shaping on the edge. Are the heads still well fitted? I see what seems to be part of a wedge in IMG_0494, just wondered if it's coming out, or was just put in with part of it sticking out like that.

No worries at all folks, the heads are indeed solid still. The Hytest has an alloy wedge as the handle in it is a racing handle and also has a roll pin thru it so I can use that one in the arena if I want. They are probably the jewels in the crown of my collection at the moment. You may notice "E.C.V." stamped in the leather cover-this stands for "Electricity Commission of Victoria" so I am told. Apparently it was a linesmans axe and the handle and all is original-The Kelly really was a beatuifully made axe. Pity they dont make em like that anymore!
