Knock out bowie!

That 1086M throws out interesting hamons, it seems. Looks like some alloy banding, to boot.

Love everything about this one, Don.

that is one elegant knife. Great work.
what size (thickness) would you guess that the stock for the guard was when you started shaping it? 3/8"? 5/16"? somewhere in that range?

I have a couple of bars of Damascus, and I want to grind one and set it up for blanks for bolsters, guards, and butt caps. I was thinking 3/8" would give a good thickness for use to make a good variety.

thanks

The damascus stock for the guard was a little less than 1/4" thick. 3/8" stock would give lots of variety.

It's ALWAYS a privilege working with Don and capturing his knives.

They speak louder than my photo or my words. You KNOW you just have to hold it to feel the DH3 power within. :D

Thank YOU!

Coop
