This knife is up to be reviewed by the man who ordered it.
I would like to tell you something I said to Wendy and her response first.
I said to her that the knife came out Really Good. Her response was "It must be Good because you do not say that very often".
Here are the Spec's
O-1 forged tool steel full tang construction and distal tapered blade.
High Quality fit and finish.
8.125" blade length to the bolsters.
13.5" Overall length.
1 & 15/16" max blade height.
.174 max blade thickness.
Dove tailed 410 Stainless steel bolsters.
Black G10 spacer material.
Stabilized African Bubinga handle.
Stainless steel "corby" handle screws.
Razor Sharp.

That is some fine craftsmanship. I love 01 for kitchen knives.:thumbup:

I had some fun on this one so and put a 1500+ Grit finish on the blade.
I figure that Practice makes Perfect.
 
Very nice work!

I like it very much as is.

One possible constructive point:

I am making some knives to test different designs. The last chef's knife (although shorter than this one) had essentially no ricasso, and the feedback I got was that particular user preferred a longer distance between the handle and the start of the sharp edge.

I hope that's not an issue in a longer knife.
