I finished this one up today, desert ironwood handles, my second attempt at filework. I found a guy who has a couple more of these for $9 each, I think I may get them next weekend if he shows up, fun little projects. So, give me your HONEST opinions.

P.S the keyhole knives are alot easier to get apart and put back together than pinned knives.

I have a bunch of old damaged Old Timers that I would like to fix up like you are doing. Would you be so kind as to post a step by step tutorial for taking these apart and putting them back together? I am not sure how to get the pins back into them and get the rounded head on them.
Any information you can give would be appreciated.

Orvet, No problem, the next OT I jump into, I'll take pics as I go. The pins do not come out of the tang ect, just grind off the rocker pin in the handle with a drmel, tap it out, take out the backsprings, push down on one liner, pull up on the otehr and it should unlock, and there you have it, totally apart, takes some fiddling to get them back together right though. I'll put together a tutorial for you on the next one I do, maybe LRV will put it up on the collectors of schrades for everyone to take reference to.

thats a beautiful knife!!! just awesome work! keep it up. i do have to admit, i wish i had half the talent u have. i tried to do a custom once using cedar, all i came out with was a piece of junk and alot of cut, scrapes, bruises, and splinters! but in all seriousness, thanks for sharing your work with us, i feel privledged to see it, great work!
