Today I received the early Custom Pre-Tac from Jack Alvarez that he advertised a week ago.
This was the knife I received which is a fine example of Ernies early work. This difficult trade involved approx 4 hours of phone conversations, and ended with me trading 8 knives for the Custom Emerson. The trade with Jack went off without a hitch and I would be happy to deal with him again. Open and honest communication was the goal I had in both my expectations as well as my intent to convey as to what I was willing to give for the knife.
I'm pleased to report that things went off as I expected and I'm wanting to post the photo of the knife to show it off.
This knife is the largest pre-tac I've ever known of. The blade length is 4 1/8 inches which is even longer than the blade on the commander. The anodized bolster on this knife is tri-color rather than all one color. The scales are yellow micarta which match the scales I have on a custom fixed blade Stinger.
Here is the photo of the knife. My other pre-tac collection can be seen on photopoint by putting in my e-mail address of ddeckert@kscable.com
