Just finished this order. I thought the basket weave engraving turned out real nice. I have had this folder design for several years and this is the first time that I engraved the bolsters. What do you guys think?

Thanks for looking

Michael

Great looking folder, Michael...the basketweave looks real nice.

Very nice. I may be wrong, but I see many hours involved in engraving those bolsters.

You have more patience (and a ton more talent) than I.

Very nice. I like how you incorporated the screw heads into the engraving and indexed them on the ivory.

Thanks for all the kudos guys.
Robert, It took about 2 days. I'm not the fastest engraver. I sure do enjoy it though. I get lost in it and the time flies by. I hope to have a few for the USN show.

Take care

Michael

That is a sweet one Mike that basket weave rocks who cares how long it took when it looks like that and is going to be around forever

That's a great looking knife Mike! I have to agree with you man, I think the basketweave is outstanding!

That is just insane!! I ve played around with the engraving attachment on my dremel. I cant imagine doing something like that!! I guess thats why he is a Master Smith and im a knife addict!

Michael,

I think your engraving design is fantastic. Of course it looks great with the Mammoth Ivory, but I also think it would look awesome with carbon fiber handle, and equally unique on any Japanese style blade because it also has a bamboo "look". The engraving is eye catching and versatile!

Thanks for sharing,
Bruce

Thanks Bill, Bruce and Calvin. I'm really lucky having a wife that is a graphic designer. She does all my drawings for me.
