Cleaned up pics tomorrow!

Mitch, Isn't that the commemorative model and they are not easy for me to find these days? Good catch. DM

Well done!

Hard to find those. Actually, it's hard to find a nice 2005 any more.

:)

Are you saying that this set is commemorative of the 110 model? If you are, then I'm glad I got him to come off the 80.00 he wanted for it. I just wanted it for the Idaho stamp!

Mitch, That model came with a hard, clear, plastic covering that stated it as the 'Commemorative set', giving it that name. What that commemorates is Buck's move to Idaho. The deer head key ring also doubles as a bottle opener. Those sold at Wal-Mart for like 24.99$. A cool set. DM

Some of the Christmas tins in Wallmart sold at clearance prices as low as 8 to 10 bucks! Not many and not every store..Many BCCI members looked for them too..The brass on that one has a nice patina. Are you going to use it?

The cellophane covering on this isn't perfect and shows wear from handling, but this is the way they came. This one, I never opened because I already had one's that had been opened.

Funny,

The 110 I currently own actually came from one of those tins. I think I still have the bottle opener around here somewhere too. I never thought of it being something rare, or desirable later on down the road.

I just popped up the insert in the tin I have. Has a standard 110 leather sheath. I wonder if I had switched it out at some point for some reason. It was out of the plastic wrap. Don't recall ever having popped the insert out. Curious..
Knife has never been used. Somewhere around here, I still have a few 2005s still in clammies. Maybe I will be rich someday.:rolleyes:

They did not come with leather ones so you must have switched it out! I am surprised the tin would close with a thicker leather one under there! I bought too many of these myself.....

I do like to use the horizontal carry and the ability to toss a nylon sheath in the washing machine at the end of hunting season. So am sure thats what I did. The leather sheath fit in there ok. Just have to turn it the right direction. Its a new one I had laying around. Someone will be pleased should I ever sell it.
