I just got this one done in time to take to the Moran hammer in where I was fortunate enough to sell it. The handle is orange osage with a black palm spacer. The guard is 5160 as is the blade which is forged and flat ground. The sheath is by Tess Neilson. I really liked the way this one felt in the hand. Got a lot of nice feedback and plan on doing more in this style. Thanks to J for the wood and Tess for the sheath.

Looking good Ed ! It looks like it would feel super nice in the hand. Sure is pretty on the Eyes ! Job well done by both parties.

This one did have a nice feel in the hand. Good thing you sold it Ed because I was thinking of picking that one up for myself.

Now get back to work on the new shop! ;)

Well I was going to be working on it on the 22nd till some guy singed me up for the NECKA hammer in.....Now I guess I'll have to waste valuable work time drinking, hammering, and grinding with that bunch of yahoos. Ahhh the sacrafices I am willing to make for my craft. :D
So J, what time are you going to pick me up??

PS: I should have something to bend by then. That looks like a fgood venue for some DESTRUCTIVE testing :D

Raymond, sorry about the picture size. I'm pretty limited with my computer/photographic skills. I had to downsize it from 450 KB to 100 KB to get it to post. Haven't quite figured out how to balance that size stuff with the camera. Just for reference though it had an 8" blade and about a 5" handle.

I like the style of that guard and that handle looks just right for a small hand like mine . Too bad its already gone .
