This one really struck me & I almost bought it. Kyle did well.
4" crazy W2 blade & some nice redwood burl.

Really nice package, it all compliments each other nicely. From the thin red liners and tapered tang, to how the redwood patterns much like the blade.
Good stuff!

DANG! That is sweet! How old is Kyle, and how long making? Apple didn't fall far....

Another really cool utility knife !

I like the "hada-like" markings as well as the hamon!

Did Kyle do the sheath as well?

Bill

Awesome. I see why you were tempted to buy it Don. I love the blade and the handle material. All the extra alloy banding in that blade is pretty cool.

what in the hell is going on with that steel?!

Secret stuff. ;)

Just like the ivory stash Don has, this unique stuff just keeps appearing from his shop. Awesome ivory or off the charts steel, he has to keep it in a secret place. He has never shown me his stash vault.

I picked this up from Don at the 2006 Plaza Cutlery Show. Same batch of W2, I assume.

Now, Kyle is doing it! He knows. :)

There are many levels of secret stuffs. Thus what Karl said. ;)

I have found those little knives you and Kyle are making to be very inspirational. I am trying my hand at one with Mother of Pearl handle scales and p-weld bolsters. W2. It is a lot like one of Kyle's you posted about a month ago. These elegant little knives are a great break from swords for me. Kyle seems to be off and running.
