What kind of treatment did you do to the haft. looks sweet.

Thanks Mark, I wet sanded with alchohol until the wood stops fuzzing, stained with laurel mountain forge antique wood stain(mineral spirit base), then finished with several coats of minwax antique oil finish(linseed oil and mineral spirits).

Are you kidding me? that's a hell of a journey from ball-peen to that thing. That is a beautiful piece. I really like it.
