After a few months of no shop time (1st baby on the way), I have finally finished a new hawk, this one was made from a ball pein hammer. Hickory handle with sinew wrapping. It was dipped in f/c for the patina. This is the sharpest hawk that I have ever made it is hair popping sharp ..Thanks for looking.

WOOHOO congrats on the new baby bro..they are a blessing...Err and costly!! :)

Great looking hawk!

That is the first hawk I have ever looked at twice! I really like it! I'm not sure why but I do.

That turned out super nice

Nice to see the hawk and sheath, I'm a big believer, nice craftsmanship and design :)

oh man, that is awesome! Great Work.

Congrats on the little one!

I love it. Really love the shape of the hammer poll. I think I need more description on the sinew wrapping. Where does one get sinew with which to wrap? Is it wrapped wet and then it cures? like rawhide?

I have a 2 year old boy. One of the things you realize when you have a baby, is that you live in a death trap. I had to store all my axes and swords and knives. Loose .22 bullets seem to turn up ever where as soon as you have a kid. Scissors, screw drivers, power outlets, plastic bags. Enjoy
