Just completed for a customer, this one is my first one handled in sheepshorn. Its merino, if I'm not mistaken...

The specs - hand forged 1095, 5inch blade, about 3/16th inch at the ricasso. Distal tapered and edge quenched with a series of quench lines, just for the heck of it. 416SS guard, ivory Micarta spacer and sheepshorn handle mortised and mated construction.

The sheepshorn has a bit of a story. Shawn McIntyre & Steve Filicietti found it in the outback while looking for inland Aussie timbers. Shawn brought it back, cut it up and offered to sell this exact pair of slabs to me when I visited him. I declined back then, so he sold it to Eugene Dimitriades of XyloAustralis. Eugene had a table opposite me at the Knife Show last year. The customer who attended the show, picked up a couple of my knives. He bought the sheepshorn from Eugene, plonked it on my table and basically said - "You are going to make SOMETHING for me with this !"

So here it is...

Comments and feedback appreciated, as always. Thanks for looking. Jason.

Jason, this is my favorite of your knives. I love everything about it. The finish looks fantastic, the handle looks very well designed and comfortable, the spacer is an excellent touch. Really great, simple lines. Sweet knife :).
