Calvin Robinson was kind enough to give me some Armadillo hide to try to do a inlay sheath. The other piece is even nicer and should turn out better . Thank you Cal very much. Knife by Wade Hougham and sheath by me. KT

I am not a fan of the aesthetics of your work - but that is merely a matter of taste - which is completely personal. I DO respect the hell out of your work and can see the great craftsmanship that goes into it. I love that about great work and great art. You don't have to 'like it' per se' - but you must respect it.

Great job - as usual - and I hope that compliment came across correctly.

Leather man thank you very muck. KT Talfuchre Thank you I fully understand what your saying. If we all liked the same thing I guess we could all drive a Ford. Wouldn't need any other models. There are many items I don't like but realize all the work that went into it so I can appreciate it for what it is. Just satisfy myself what type do you like? KT

I have to say - I am so vanilla that I like just plain leather. Saddle tan even! I saw Bruce Culberson finish a simple sheath with a little swivel knife filigree the other day and I thought that looked nice. I think just as "busy" as your sheaths look to me - I know so many people find my leather too "plain".

As I said - super simple - very utilitarian. I haven't been bending leather long - so my craft is not up to speed of many on this board - but I was happy with this last one.

When I look at your work, Chucks, Dwayne's and others I think"I never would have done that" but DAMN look at that craftsmanship.

It is so cool to see all the different styles out there and that there are purveyors of all of them. I hope you bend for a long time to come.

That's a nice sheath . I used to make them like that when I started but I got bored after a while and had to try some thing different and harder on my sheaths and holsters. I just do it for fun anyway. Thanks for showing. I still make sheaths like yours for my kids and grandkids for hunting. We keep all our hunting leather simple and useable. Again thanks . KT

KT - I am thinking now that I may have to do something to give the old patterns a challenge. I agree totally - you have to keep it fresh.
