I'm not certain in what universe a double-edged New York Special is categorized as a utility knife. But there's no such thing as bad press, right?

Congrats, Marcus Lin! :D

PS: There are such things as horrible cellphone-cam pictures though. Sorry!

Cool! Is that your actual knife that is shown in the magazine (I take it that it's yours ON the magazine)?

Yes, I ordered that specific NYS from Marcus last year and he sent it to Coop for photographing. I assume Coop submitted the photo to BLADE and it was used at the editor's (or author's) discretion. Fortunately the photo in the magazine shows the serial number well enough to positively identify the knife. :D It was a smart move by Marcus to send the knife to Coop immediately after finishing it. ;)

Congrats on having your knife in there. I love when that happens. :) The cell phone pic is fine. Its cool how you show the knife on top of the article.

Smart indeed. A number of my knives that Coop has shot have ended up in various publications over the years. It's a neat feeling to open up a mag like Blade and see your very own knife sitting there. Congrats and enjoy!

Indeed. Especially since it's so "easy" (for us as collectors, anyway). All of my other (boring, technical) publications have come at the expense of months of blood, sweat, tears, and peer review.

I remember that knife. Nice and sharp. :)

Thank you for posting the photo Aaron, and for all the positive comments guys.

And a very special "Thank you" also to Jim Cooper for taking the superb photograph.

And a nice surprise for me as well. Congrats to all! Sometimes the wished-for system works. :)
