Finally got somebody to answer the phone today. Only been trying since Dec. 18. (We've been on a holday.)

They have acknowledged that their last "upgrade" disabled my store on Dec. 18 and it has been disabled since. They promise to "fix the problem" and said they "really want to keep me as a customer." I told them I really didn't believe they could fix the problem but they were welcome to do anything they pleased, including nothing, since I was soon to become a history item in the Andale files.

Bottom line is Dan (Pen) is building a new store on Yahoo.

I will defer to Dan's judgment in this matter but I'm betting he says forget Andale and use Yahoo.

Good for you Uncle Bill...!!!
Someone like you who provides excellent customer service,
none the less should expect the same from one providing
webhosting services. Dan seems like a great guy...I'm
sure your e-store will be in much better hands soon.

Good show, Pen! I'm sure he will do his best work as always. Pen really throws himself into his work, whatever it may be. Selfless and humble, a true student of life-kido!:)

I'm sure it will be better. But here is a caution- I don't like Yahoo all that much! Try reaching someone! Try fooling with their silly 'timesaving, user friendly softeware". Oh well. It is the nature of the Beast. I'm still with Yahoo until someone shows me another homepage is better.

Besides, Pen can do things right.

Bill - how'd you guess..?!

:D :D :D

I'll do my best, fellas - we'll see what Yahoo can do - put it to the test...

Pen, not sure if I can be of any help, but I'm offering to do whatever I can. I know enough about computers and the internet to be dangerous, but not enough to be able to make money at it. I'm sure others know more than me.

Let me offer my help too. Writing software is what I do for a living, so someone elses shouldn't be to hard to figure out. Paul Graham is the guy who originally wrote yahoo stores, he's very good at what he does so I don't think it will be to hard to get it together.

IMOHO, Yahoo is not considered by some as a serious web-store. Alot of people I've heard don't trust Yahoo webstores, thinking they're dodgey or cheap, or such...

This is just IMOHO and my 0.02 in Singapore currency, which has dropped like a rock...

That makes sense, until one trys to think of web venues that aren't cheezy, dodgy or cheap. Yahoo trys to sell you its sponsers. Makes sense. Anyone really bad has to leave eventually- too much bad press for Yahoo. Not that I'm defending Yahoo. I just think they are what the market will bear- they are the market.

Andale store is fixed and they are trying very hard to keep me as a customer. The fix took them ten minutes once they started. The part I don't like is it took them three weeks to get started.

The thing I don't like about Andale is it took them three weeks during the busiest retail time of year.
That is inexusable.

They owe you- 6 months free.

Scr*! Andale...tell them you'll stay until next Xmas season to see if they do any better, and if so, you'll start paying again.
