Groan! Tom, just when I start saving for one of your folding talonite tantos you have to go and show something like this! Looks AWESOME!

Tom,
I don't think you've made a knife yet that I didn't like!! Here's another one!!! One of the best looking Talonite blades I've ever seen. I think Rob would agree! How is it to drill?? I know you didn't tap any holes in it!!
Nice one,
Neil

most astute observation neil, at a million dollars each and brittle as glass, carbide taps are not on the bill....drilled some 3/16th holes and used a piece of ti with a tapped hole in it...it drills quite nicely with carbide...comes up in little chips, small ones....cuts very cleanly...overall length is about 18" i have some really nice carbide drills for folders (including a couple of reamers) and concrete drills for stiff knife holes. am glad you like my knives, ken onion tells me i need to be more rad...but i am dyed in the wool super conservative red neck type.....

WOW! Tom that is a fine looking knife! I like the conservative flowing lines. Talonite and Titanium, between the two I would rather grind the Talonite! I have actually talked to a guy that has tapped Talonite, they use 3 different taps in incrementally larger sizes to tap the Billion dollar holes. Great job Tom, I love it!

Hey Tom
I'm a redneck, why doesn't my work look that good? Maybe when I finish my grinder. I'm making it out of the rear axle off the car I have up on blocks in my yard. Any idea where I can get 17 inch contact wheels that will fit a 5 lug hub? Just kidding, great knife.

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

Nice blade Tom!! Do any of the holes in the ti slabs go through the tang? Are they for reducing weight or for gripping? Take care! Michael

the two big holes go all the way thru...put them all there for cosmetics and grip, not for weight...he had some grooves in the original design but it was too much of a machine shop project for me...just drilling those holes in .187 ti took long enough. thong hole goes all the way thru too..duh.

after much annoyance with the customs and the post officers and almost one week of waiting i got it at last... tom did a superb job on this one... he did on all the knives i got from him... and its well balanced, i thought it must be heavier because of the talonite... thanks tom... i love it
