It's not done but I wanted to let you 'guys' see what was going on..........I can't find a Scimitar to buy (hint, hint) so I thought I'd make one. The heat-treat's done but I need to sharpen the blade and put a hand-rubbed finish on it, install the tang-pin and adjust it, and finish shaping the handles. I feel the handle taper is a little too much (it really hides a wide blade) and the 3/16" blade stock is too 'heavy' for 3/8" brass handle stock; stainless would probably work but I'll use 1/2" stock in the future. The pivot pins are 3/16" and are from Koval Knife Supply; they work great. I'm going to start on one with stainless/micarta insert handles tonight; I've worked my way from aluminum to brass and now to stainless. We'll see how it goes.....

This is a big one with a 5 1/2" blade in 6" latchless handles. I put most of the weight out on the 'ends' and this thing really comes around!

getting 'em open
is half the fun!

It must REALLY come around. That red stain looks alot like BLOOD. That much blood doesn't usually spill unless you really cut yourself. Are you missing any of your fingers? Maybe a head?

I like the Bigger Bali's, for me, they are just a lot more fun to play with. My wife says that everything is BIG here in America. Your Bali is really a sight for sore eyes for me. I get so tired of looking at rip off copies of Benchmade's. With everyone so busy, makeing a copy of everyone else's copy, its so refreshing to finally see something different. Esp. with that really awesome looking blade. Thanks, JohnR7 www.BalisongKnife.com Come on guys, stop on in and buy some of my junky China, Taiwan and Jaguar knives, so I can have some money to go to Japan and the Philipines and find you some real Balisong knives for your collections! Thanks, JohnR7

Not only does he have a knack for finding Balis under stairs, but now he's making new ones! Looks great.

Maybe we'll be collecting yours soon.
