I've always had a liking for Hawksbill blades..but sadly last december i lost the CQC-9 i had. Saw this piece put up for sale last week on another forum, and i just couldn't resist!...Snagged it, and it arrived this monday.

I love the looks of this, and have been practicing extensions and retractions with this piece since then!..I'm going to Colombia at the end of the year for a business trip, and i intend to bring this there with me:)

Thanks to Ernie for designing and making suchKaa a beautiful piece!..from what i've read, it seems like this was one of 5 pieces made in this configuration with beadblasted flats, and satin grinds, and with the Specwar logo and Silver Twill G-10:)

My 3 brothers call it my new "Fang"...the same name they gave my CQC-9 the last time:)

Yeah thats a super looking blade. I have the La-Griffe as well but mine has the black coating on it. I like yours better.

Hey guys, thanks for the nice comments!..:) Sean, the La Griffe initially came with the black teflon coating, but i polished that away, as I like a satin blade more:)..going to send it to Tom Krein one of these days for him to do one of his magical grinds on it:)

Thanks guys!...it's an awesome piece to EDC..but i've been wiping it down with Marine Tuff-Cloth twice a day, prior to pocketting it, and when i get home at night. Just don't want the beadblast surface to develop any spots..:)
