Just completed yesterday. "Shugyo" is a Japanese term that means hard work and "blood-sweat-tears" type effort to achieve progress. Usually used in martial arts settings. I like my knives with a thin blade, but this is for those who like their knives tough and overbuilt. Thanks for looking. Jason.

Sweet looking knife, I love the reptilian pattern in the handles.

From one doctor/knifemaker to another, WOW! Handle looks great and comfy. How about a 1/16" version!?

Thanks all, for the comments.

Chiro 75, This thickness on the "Shugyo" model is actually an exception to the rule. I personally really like much thinner knives for EDC. My idea of an ideal thicknes for this type knife is 1/8inch thick, with a distal taper. I made a range of the increased-thickness knives to cater to those who like the Strider type overbuilt knives.

Cheers. Jason.
