This just came today. 4 1/4" boot knife, 154cm stainless, stainless guard, stag scales with bright red liners, original boot sheath with clip. San Pablo, CA maker's mark....
I've been a fan of Lloyd Pendleton since the early 80's. IMHO, he made some of the finest knives available. I've had 3 or 4 of his in the past. I visited him about 20 years ago when he was in San Pablo, CA. He showed me around his shop, showed me a few knives he had on hand. Talked with me for over an hour. Really nice guy. Told me even Herman Schneider had ordered knives from him... and Schneider is one of the true masters.
