I'm very new to the world of knife making. Picked up the bug earlier this past winter and decided to give it a go. I picked up a 2x42 Craftsman grinder and a bunch of files to start out with, but so far I've only used the files and a jig I made after seeing Aaron Gough's YouTube video. This is my second attempt at putting a bevel on with the jig, and this is my best so far. This isn't my pattern, just one I found on the internet so all credit for the design goes to the original owner. I wanted to start out with some existing designs before I started tinkering. I still have a lot of work to do to get it to the point of HT, but I'm pretty proud of how it's looking so far. I also want to note that after attempting to make and rough out a pattern using only a hacksaw and files I had the batch this blank comes from cut out by a water jet shop next door to my office.
