and here I etched the blade as the 1.2442 is very prone to stain..

Kind regards

I’m kinda partial to the gent’s with reindeer & mammoth...well done on all of them tho...

Thank you Sirs for your kind comments!
Soon I will tell how the blued blade will hold up the finish.
Only downside of 1.2442 but on the other side, it takes such a fine, keen, long lasting edge...

Nicolas

Soon my eldest nephew will get 10 years old, so is there a better present than a knife for a boy?
8cm blade from 2,7mm stock 1.2442 and a very fine edge.
11cm handle, even ok for an adult.
Still in need for a pommel and lanyard.

Beautiful workmanship! I love Scagel style knives, your nephew is going to be very happy with his birthday present.

Thank you Sirs!!
All kids in my family will get a knife with 10 years, a tradition a friend of my family started when I was a kid.
Soon my younger son will turn 10, too ;)

Awesome carving set and superb gift for your parents, as well as perfect timing with turkey and ham season being upon us!

..and just finished, this "Norse" - a Puukko in my style.

82mm blade from 200 layer damascus from 1.2842, C100 and 75Ni8
gun metal ferrule, steller sea cow handle.

The sea cow had some holes inside and I tried to stabalize these, but the epoxi turned out grey :( so I had to repeat this, the result now is pitch black.

Nicolas
