Latigo gluing

Gluing latigo to latigo for sheath. What's your process?

Some latigoes can be pretty oily and tough to glue. Rough up the leather, glue on both pieces, let dry and put into place. Tap with a smooth hammer.

Thanks for the reply. Do you use the same glue as you do for veg. tanned?
