Latosa Escrima?

What are your comments on Rene Latosa´s system of ecrima (Realism in self-defense, structure, concepts etc.)?

I learned under Rene and his students for a bit. I don't have experience with AEWTO and I'm not part of it. I was part of his school here and Wing Tsun/Chun wasn't taught.

He emphasizes power hitting, short power, and evasive movement. His style has changed through the years and by the time I learned it, it was a bit different from the original way he taught it.
