"This is what I have found about this beautiful Buck Custom knife #603+, Hoyt Buck of Buck Knives was making 25 knives a week in his garage during the 1940's. This knife is one of those, and quite likely "one of a kind" ... The only one i have found similar to this one sold for $469.00. "

It's obvious that was done in the 30's and not the 40's. LOL

I believe you are mistaken, that's clearly a Civil War era sheath......
 
I saw that knife earlier today on the bay and I thought it was something that was altered in the secondary aftermarket. I only looked at the thumbnail image and did not go into the listing and read about the knife. Now that you guys brought it to my attention I will have to try to pick up that rare beauty if you guys don't beat me to it.
 
I spirited up Hoyt with tarot cards and he confirms that he made that knife and is very proud that its still in circulation and in great shape. What a craftsman.
 
The knife has an odd overall proportion to me but is sure is one nice piece of antler.....

"This buck knife is haunted. I got it at a flea market unknowing to me that it was haunted and I soon began to feel restless when I slept. Eventually I started seeing orbs at night and I had to move it into a storage space, away from me. Be warned, this is not a toy."

Just search haunted buck knife. The funny thing is its not even a Buck knives brand. I always wanted a real haunted buck knife...
 
What will really be interesting is when we look at the knife's listing in a few days and find out it has been sold for the sellers asking price.
