Howdy,

The title is a bit of laugh, I don't know what a 'Tactical Bushcrafter' might be, but there was so much Darth Vader black, that it begged to be called 'Tactical'.

Here are a couple images of a set up that just came together tonight...

The knife is a Kellam S-Line Utility Knife which is also sold by Ragweed Forge as the Ahti Finman, though neither Ahti nor Kellam make them, Lauri does.

So, I finished up a FireSteel Holder, which is on it's way to BC. I used a bit of surgical tubing to keep it tight on the holder, seemed to make sense for the application, and it would keep the thing from rattling while you were sneaking up on a Plague Ninja : ) . I prefer my Scraper attached to my FireSteel with a cord, but for the purpose of the set-up, this worked. And you could always use your knife to scrape your FireSteel.

And, before I shipped it off, I was playing around trying to figure out a set up that might work, and this is what I came up with....

And here are a couple images, off the belt, for a bit more clarity...

The belt clip is the BladeTech Klip, which is a great deal like a G-clip, but slightly different, goes on and off the belt without removing the belt.

If I can answer any questions about how the Blade-Tech Klip works, I will be happy to do so.

Enjoy,
Marion

The answer is you take a $20 knife and add " bushcraft" to the title, and it becomes $120.
Toss in "tactical' and the sky is the limit !

Looks awesome! I like how you incorporated the rubber tubing to keep the firesteel in its holder...great idea! I could totally rock this rig!

Thank you.

Sweet setup. How do you like that little Kellam/Ahti/Lauri?

I really like that knife. The handle is homely to say the least, but it is drop dead comfortable. Really great.

Very nice Marion! The sheaths look great bro!

Thank you broseph.

That looks terrible. What utter junk.

I require one immediately.

:D

Which! What? Wednesdays.... I am confused. Email me.

I also dig the rubber tubing that holds down the firesteel. Very nice!

Thank you.

nice looking setup Marion

Thanks. On a side note, I was thinking of you, eluding the MAN, when I came up with this.... Sneaking up on Plaque Ninjas or sneaking away from Park Rangers. : )

Yep... That is the same. I live only a few miles from where he had his retail shop, and was saddened to see him close it last April. They still do a robust mail order business and Jouni and Harriet are great people.

Jouni spent a bunch of time with me teaching how he sharpens.

I think so...

I bought mine specifically from James K Mattis, back before he passed on. But, mine is marked Kellam, and I believe he sourced it from the company of the link above.

I really think the answer is 'Yes', but I have this habit with being precise, which can be a real pain.....

I bet he is pretty darn good at sharpening.
