Well I've been promising myself a new Spyderco for a while now, just been having a tough time deciding which. You know, would it be a UKPK/Caly 3, something larger like the Manix 2 or something odd and funky like only Spyderco does 'em?

But then I find a real killer deal on a Lava and now one is coming my way! It's a model that has been intriguing me for a while, it sure looks a bit different but all the reviews have been quite glowing. And I have no doubt it will be a very serviceable little blade for my needs in most environments.

Best part: with a NIB price of under 50 $, even with shipping I'll be saving about 100 Euros / 150 USD compared to my local prices! Whoa. That's a deal you don't turn down. :)

Congrats on finding a Lava at such a great price.
It's an ergonomic wonder. I wish they'd make it with G10.

I saw one with that price too. I've been jumping around between a few small knives for my next- Lava, etched Cricket, Navigator, Dfly, RAT Izula.

If you own any of these could you do a comparison? It would be much appreciated.

Oh, and we need pics :D

The lava is amazing how it fits in your hands

I would like to see a g-10 sprint run as well

Ha, my new Lava has arrived!

What a cool little blade. Very handy and so small it slips in the pocket super easy. And SHARP right out of the box too. I'm not easily impressed by most production knives in regards to the factory edge but this little sucker sure does cut and slice well. Even passes the dry-shaving test.

Great tool at a silly low price. I'm happy. :)
