My first custom scale. It came out pretty good I think. I like the smooth organic look so didn't bother trying any anzo patterns and the like. Also I wanted to see how well acrylic polished up. There are a few blems here and there but all in all I like the polished look. All I can say is you knife scale makers don't charge enough. It is a ton of work getting everything precise. The LavaFlow design looks absolutely killer in person. It shimmers and shifts like carbon fiber does. With the black blade the knife looks mean!
Just thought I'd share. :)

I really like the color combo on that beast! God job! You know the saying...pimping ain't easy! Hahaha

great job! That Kirinite is interesting material to work with. Looks killer on the black blade:thumbup:

You say it has blems? I dont see no steekin blems!
When you start making them for sale, lemme know.
Abstatutely amazing work.

Nice work! Shaping handle slabs is not as easy as it may seem. You did really well on that project, looking forward to seeing more in the future.

Amazing, that may be the most attractive scale I have ever seen on that black bladed 0550

The Skyline uses its handles for the structure and Kinnite doesnt have the right rigidity to self support a scale only (no liners) knife. I could be wrong thats just what ive read about it.

Thanks peeps.
I think Kirinite would be fine for a Skyline so long as you keep the thickness. That scale is actually twice as thick as the stock one.
