So, we had a house that was not cared for and tons of weeds grew, as thick as corn stalk and as high. I figured it would be an excuse to get another Kukri, one to actually use, so the cheap Cold Steel Kukri came to mind.

At first, I wanted to hate this Kukri. I went to try it out, and it wouldn't chop through 1 inch live branches. I got permission from store bought to return if not happy, but decided to keep with it. Ends up, it's not the tool, it was me. I've never used a kukri to chop, only to have as eye candy. Technique is everything with this. Diagonal chopping and using angles are necessary to ensure a nice hit and chunk to appear. After learning how to use the thing, got to chop, chop, and chop.

Handle was fine, not wonderful, but easily tollerable.

Thing has been holding up as a champ. I need to clean it off, and wish I took pictures, but cleaned out many thick weeds, and branches without a second thought. Only issue was a little edge roll, but I'm figuring I won't do anything about it until I put it through more use.

Total project time: 1 hour pure chopping time. I'm keeping it as the beater.
