For Kansas your saying someone can legaly carry a Dirk/Dagger as long as its showing?

That is correct, my friend. You can also openly carry a handgun, though I have NEVER seen it done. Kansas is one of the four remaining states (at last count) that has no provision for CCW. The last two governors have vetoed bills passed by both the senate and house that would have allowed it. A very bitter pill to swallow, my friends.

However, there is hope!!! There may be enough votes next session to override a veto!

The knife laws in Kansas are fairly easy to live with. Also, as long as you're not an a$$, it's pretty unlikely that you'll get stopped for carrying even a folding claymore or - gasp! - a Covert De-Mallninjaficator in your pocket (but that could be said for virtually anywhere, in my experience).
