Hi!

I'm going to be homeschooling this year and for lessons I'd like a nice laser pointer.

Green would be great, unless red is better? I don t know.

Anyhow, I'd like it to be built to last, be durable and solid, one about the size of a kids fat pencil would be great and take rechargeable batteries.

If anyone could educate me a bit on the subject of laser pointer and what's good and bad about em, not just for a teaching aid, I'd be grateful.

Thanks so much.

Green is best for visibility. If you're actually going to use it as a pointer for schooling your kids, any standard <5mw 532nm green laser pointer will be fine, just find one in the format you like. If you're thinking of getting a high powered one to play with and also use to as a pointer for school...DON'T, permanent eye damage can occur instantly.

I bought a 2 inch long red laser at Walgreens for 1 dollar. If that was for sale when I was a kid it would have been at least $10,000.
