Lazy Day with my boys....

I took the boys out for the day today. The plan was to do a little fishing and be lazy bums. When rain made us shelter under the tarp, we all had a nap :)

It doesn't get much better than napping in the woods.

In case you are interested, here is some video of the day, and a few pics mixed it. Left the good video camera at home, so the quality kind of sucks.

Nice video Brian, your boys are lucky to have a built-in woods-lore coach, and you, to have them to share your skills with. The new knife is beautiful, very nice design and work-up, typical of your workmanship. I just finished a scandi puukko with stacked siberian birch bark; it has an amazing "feel" to it, but is also strange to work with being softer than most handle materials. Thanks for sharing your newest adventure with us.

Fun stuff. Your boys are lucky and so are we to benefit from your knowledge. Thanks for sharing. I want one of those knives someday!

Thanks for looking and commenting guys!

I sure did have a great time hanging out with the boys.

Acutally, I was thinking that I am so lucky to have them (and my girl) to hang out with me. I may be able to show them a couple small things, but they show me the big things. I will terribly miss them when they are all grown up, and it is happening too quickly!!!

Looks like a great day out Brian. It's encouraging to see that you have your priorities set right.
Nice looking knife by the way. The one you sent me last week is getting some time out this weekend when I go camping with my boys.

Great stuff Brian, your making some great future memories for your boys there, keep it up buddy !

Very nice video. The boys are always good 'gear' to bring along;). Its really good that they enjoy it too, it doesn't get much better than time alone with your sons doing something you all enjoy. Thanks for sharing

Great video, I love to see people taking their kids into the woods to learn and experience a past time that most kids today would turn up their nose at. And that knife is absolutely gorgeous.
