LB 7 with Schrade playing cards?

I recently saw three blister packed LB7's with free Schrade playing cards and should have boughtem.......the retailer wanted a steep price though $88 bucks cdn.........has anyone seen this promo combo before the date on the back was 1995......just might have to go back and get one for posterity!

I sold a blister packaged UH filet knife on FeeBAY this past spring with the same deck of cards. Same date. Barely got what I paid for it at a knife and gun show ($25). I thought it would net much, much more... I'd put the 167UH right next to the LB7 on price, so in my opinion, while a neat thing to own... too much. Just didn't seem to have any collectibility.

If you can afford it, I think you should go ahead and buy it. Its a nice collectable with the promotional playing cards with it. If you are a patient man and are looking to get your money back someday down the road, I don't think you'll be disappointed. NIB items with promotional extras often fetch a premium in a decade or so.
 
Thanks for the feedback.......I think I will call him and ask the dealer to pick the best two of the three.....all hell I will probably get all three and save another two for my kidknivers...........we all like to play cards and it would be neat to be playing with a Schrade deck while on a fishing trip!!

Well I finally got off my ass and called the dealer and they were still there!
I asked him if it was possible to pick the best packaged 2 of the three he still has and put them away and he agreed!
I have known this fellow for a number of years and it was nice of him to hold them until I got up there to pick them up.....I can't wait!

If you just want the playing cards, you probably can find them on fleabay for $10 maybe less.
