Here's one thats seen some use but is now retired. The complete removal of the rear bolster is not something you see very often in a LB5 customization. The inside of the lock-bar is all file-worked as well so it's pretty much head-to-toe done up. I have no idea who did the work.

bucksforus, thanks for the suggestion. There is even what looks like an "H" signature on the knife which made me wonder the same thing.I contacted Herman Williams and no it is not one of his. He replied that he signs his works with his name on the pile-side of blade or on inside of liners.

Schrade factory? I think the "H" rules that out too. I posted this knife in B. Levine forum and received no replies regarding who may have done this knife:

It is a good looking knife no matter who did it. I learned something today, I did not know that Herman signed the factory customs he did.

Herman did not always sign his early work. Meanwhile, I think that the OP knife was done by Hyundai. ;) It is really nice work; I like it much.

Hyundai, yeaah I like it. A fox? I had to look and look and for the life of me I couldn't see it. Then I did. Now I can't un-see it. Another possibility.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

what is strange to me is that the handle is definitely not an normal LB 5 handle more like a 55UH.

I had to look close to figure out what was up. Was it a 5OT/55UH with a LB5 blade? No. It is definately a LB5. The rear bolsters have been completely cut off, liner smoothed flush and then new handle applied. The front bolsters and liners are still one piece. I haven't seen another custom like this but when you do a side-by-side you can tell it's a heavily modified LB5. The two knives below are exactly the same shape and size.
