LB7 blade not locking

Hello everyone I have had my lb7 for about 20 years and until recently been put back into service with my son joining cub scouts. we took it camping and i nearly cut off a finger when the blade decided to close up on me. does the company offer replacements on defective knives? or can they fix it? shine some light on this matter because i really like my knife.

The real Schrade company is out of business. The new Taylor owned Schrade doesn't warranty anything. I would check to make sure the gunk or dirt isn't in the locking mechanisim and keeping it from locking all the way.

Check the lock notch in the blade for lint, dirt or other debris.
