Hi all,

I combed through the stickies and I can not seem to determine what kind of vintage my LB7 is.

It's got three pins in the scales, one of which is silver and the other two brass looking. There is a silver visible pin in the bolster near the blade. the tang stamp is:

Uncle Henry
Schrade+
LB7 USA

Any thoughts?

thank you and take care,
brett

From only your description of the knife's construction and markings, I would guess post mid-1980's thru 2004. Getting a closer date requires seeing the original packaging and inserts (literature). Logos, slogans, and details changed over the years as did actual box or clampack designs. The knives themselves only had a few minor changes from the earliest production and, absent a serial number, having the three visible pin construction, and using the Uncle Henry stamp, "+" mark denoting stainless, yours is not likely an early one. That doesn't detract from it being a well made and useful knife. In fact, unless a four pin with all the trappings and in factory condition has a relatively low serial number, the market value is not that different from the later ones.

thanks and take care,
Brett
