I'm a newbie at this Scrade collecting so please bear with me. Whats the difference between the LB7 and the 7OT? As far as I can tell they are identical ecxept the LB7 has wood handles and the names are different. How long was the 7OT in production?

Also what was the original price of the LB8 in comparison to the LB7? TIA.

Walt

The 7OT, according to Robert Clemente, appeared first in the 1979 catalog with a MSRP of $29.50. It listed in the last catalog, 2004, for a MSRP of 56.95.

The LB-8 was oficially introduced in the catalogs in 1982. At that time it carried a MSRP of $42.95 while the LB-7 listed for $37.95.

Old Timers were traditionally made from carbon not stainless steel. I think the only "real" 7-OT's are the ones Not Marked "Schrade +" and have a carbon blade. Just my opinion. -Dave
