The only Uncle Henry not being reproduced that I know of is the LB8. How come? I'm actually happy this one has not been touched yet. I'm sure nthere are a few more out there but in the long run this will make the LB8 a real prize. Another thing I have noticed is the elusive 9OT is now a small cigar knife? What's going on with that?

It doesn't matter what's "going on with that," because we don't deal with "that" on this forum. These Chinese questions keep creeping in for some reason.

Good idea. Agreed! So what were the non serialized LB8 knives packaged in? I have one that is not serialized. Could these have been replacements for lost knives? It would make sense for Schrade to replace a lost knife with one w/o a number? Just stupid G/D questions here. Give me a break.

Or, maybe your LB8 is one that was made after they quit doing serial numbers on Uncle Henry knives. LB8's in the Blue and Blake Sharp Idea box were non-serialized. Maybe even before that, like in the late 1070's or early 1980's?

1070's? hmmm going back in time a bit (sorry couldn't help it). yep they stopped putting on serial numbers i have three serialized and one black plus the LB 7 from the Colony series.

This is good to know and thanks for posting some info on these. I know the LB7 is king as far as serial numbers go but don't hear much about the LB8. I saw an LB8 in a clamp pack of all things. I don't know how you could tell a clamp pack from a boxed knife unless you got one in either package but it seems the LB8 has problems with pitting more so than the others.

Yes, the really old ones! :D
