Ok, here's something to think about. I have been looking at my LCC and thinking how nice a set of ironwood handles would look. This is the perfect platform for offering different handle materials, or even aftermarket handles. I can see all types of wood along with some real nice, not rough but smooth, sambar stag handles evertime I close my eyes. So come on, what do you think and what would you like to see.

Although I don't have a Microech yet the LCC
is the one that captured my eye's. I think the carbon fiber handles that it has (correct me if I'm wrong) are great.
The one reason I have'nt bought the Microtech was the look of all medal or medal with kraton inserts, which I did'nt find to creative for looks if I just want fuction without looks I'll buy a Cold Steel folding blade with plastic handles. No offense to anyone that likes there look. But if I'm going to pay Microtechs prices it better have looks and function. All I can say is they can't go wrong when they make thier products appeal to everyone through diversity.

I like the carbon fiber also. In fact this is my first knife with that handle material. I handled some different knives at gun shows/knifeshows with carbon fiber and just didn't care for it. I may be blinded by the fact that it is a MT, but the LCC's cf handle seems to be different from the others. The pattern seems more pronounced and surface texture seems "grippy". I would also like to see other handle inserts offered for the Elites. Even as I type this I am looking at an Elite auto and can't help but think that some rosewood, ironwood, or some stabilized snakewood would look fantastic!
Anybody know of anyone who can do this as an aftermarket deal?

Bronco is right on the money, Frank is currently working on two LCC's, one will have pearl scales and the other Ivory I believe. A friend of mine is getting an LCC and wants to have mammoth Ivory scales put on and I sent him to Frank and Frank said he was in the midst of working on a couple right then, so Frank is your guy! and I've personally seen a couple of Franks work and he is very very good!

Hmm... does Frank have his own LCC? He could offer just scales, for people to put on themselves. I can think of some nice woods which would look nice.

Great site. Thanks. E_utopia, you hit on something there. Aftermarket LCC handles. That sounds good to me. Bet there would be a huge market!
