I recently came into possession of a LDC and thought for such a rare and BEAUTIFUL knife........it should at least have Dual Thumb Studs....

So, I ask you, the CR community for your thoughts and suggestions.

Leave it be.....as it was created.....or send it in for some additional work?

Would this affect the value as it would no longer be "original"?

This is a show piece...I have NO intention of carrying this one....I have my Large Regular Seb. for EDC.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Since you're not gonna carry it, I'd say "leave it as is". There's no way to really predict future value if it's altered vs. keeping it original but, if it were me, I wouldn't risk it.

Leave it be.

Is it a large or a small? Serial number? Inquiring minds want to know!

If you're not going to carry it at all and there is no real function of altering the studs besides aesthetics I'd go ahead and leave it be. Original items always seem to hold value better than altered ones.

Since you won't be using it, there is no advantage to the dual thumbstuds. Leave it as is.

Go ahead and mod it Gravelface. It will only make my small LDC109-37 that much more rare and valuable. :p

In all seriousness though, I'd keep it as it is. BTW, nice snag man!

So I guess I will just get my user dual studs then and leave this one be. I will get some pictures of it up later.

Drew, thanks man....it just sort of came to me.......wasn't really hunting, but when something like this comes along.....well, you know!

If you luck out again at Knob Creek and find something good....let me know....I know someone with a Large LDC that would go great with your small!!!!
