I've been buying and trading CRK's for about a year and a half now and I am really interested in the history behind these knives. Nyefmaker's timeline and history thread has been invaluable, thanks! One thing I cannot find much info on is a version of the regular called LDC. Can someone help me out with some info? What does the LDC stand for? We're they a CGG at the time or were they a dealer exclusive? And if so, who? I've no idea if they are a supporting dealer so you can pm me if you know. Any info would be much appreciated!

Hi,
You are looking for "Les Robertson".
It was what we would now call a dealer exclusive.
Hope this helps.

Some more info...not sure where I got this.

LDC Custom Knives was owned and operated by Bob Neal and Les Robertson. The LDC line of knives was developed in response to our customers' requests. The novice custom knife buyer wanted a quality combat folder obtainable in a timely manner and at a fair price. The veteran collector wanted the aforementioned qualities, but also required the added value of collectability. With over 23 years experience in custom knives, Bob & Les formed LDC Custom Knives to fill this void in the custom combat cutlery market. The knife makers selected to create the "Tactical Ten" were chosen for the quality of their work and their experience in the field.

No light weights in that group. There are a couple I am not familiar with, but I believe they are all custom makers but Chris

They are definitely hard to find as I have tried for years. One of those "wrong time wrong place" kind of knives. If you ever see one ...and want one, buy immediately because someone else is typing, "I'll take it" the same time you are:p All part of the fun in this hobby lol!
