Hey guys... first time poster here. To start I will be completely honest, I’ve never had much an interest in knives and even less knowledge, but I was digging through some of my late Father’s old boxes and found this old looking knife. Seems to be in pretty good condition and still sharp.

I saw the logo on bottom of blade (LPD Danielson, Conn) and looked it up... nothing. Like ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The only thing I was able to find that matched the name was a furniture company based out of Connecticut. Very strange.

So in conclusion, do you guys have any idea what I have here? Any info or background on the company, time period, what it was used for, value? Is it custom made or did I just miss something when I looked it up? Thanks so much guys. Be well.

Good morning Scott.

Welcome to Blade Forums. No clue about your late fathers knife but if you search around here in the forum, you will find a section on knife identification. I don’t look around in that area because all I own is common boring stuff.
I can’t remember the name of the section but it is named after someone. Dave Levine or something like that.

Please stay around and join us. We can always use a new member. Knives are not the only thing we talk about.

Don’t want to derail the thread but, how about a single response with what kind of pistols.

Then we can go back to your mystery knife.

Interesting looking knife. No clue why it would be shaped like that.

Do you have a close up picture of the markings?
