Hi everyone,
Long-time lurker, first-time seller here on Knife Forums. You can check my feedback on eBay, username tha8man… 100% positive.

I have a limited edition Benchmade Gold edition and I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in it. It’s a Benchmade 806DM-701, the carbon fiber and Damascus AFCK that I purchased from a dealer in Germany back in 2007. #13 of 100 complete with all paperwork, boxes, presentation case, microfiber bag, and receipts from German purchase.

Hard to let this go as it was VERY hard to find, but I’m moving and need some extra cash. This knife has never been carried, used, sharpened, or outside the box for more than 10 minutes. Outer gold box shows some wear from being in my safe. Inner wood presentation case has one small chip from the original international shipment. Knife is flawless.

Asking $1,500 shipped. Buyer pays $40 for PayPal fees. Prefer PayPal but will consider money orders. Only CONUS buyers please. Sorry, no trades.

Will post more pictures later tonight. PM me if you’re interested. Available until I post SOLD in the listing.

Who made the damascus, and is it stainless (e.g. Norris or Thomas), or carbon steels...

thanks

post script: now I see "Damasteel" on the side, but the pattern doesn't look like any of the Damasteels I'm used to... not as tight with the layers/folds...

What do you know about the steel??

Rob,

I apologize but I know very little about the steel. This knife was a limited production run of 100 that was sold only to international dealers beginning in 2007. I searched the Benchmade site but I don't see a product info page about it.

I contacted Benchmade to see if they can provide me with the exact product description. I will keep looking for some more info for you.

The blade damascus pattern is called "Birdseye". I do not know who made it though.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures..

Just curious, is there anyone even interested in this blade?

Mike,
They HAVE to be. At one time, these sold for $2,000 or so (which was too high). However, things are very slow economically & folks are hesitant to part with money for more expensive knives.

Thanks a lot Dan. The market does seem a little less eager for the pricey pieces. I'll keep it up here for a bit longer. In the future, if you know anyone wishing to obtain this LE Benchmade, please send them my way!

Mike
