Yes, another "new steel" topic. Just because. Because I know you guys like Beckers, and you guys like to drool over pics. So without further ado...

Two boxes!

That means... two knives! Finally I got myself a 15 and an 11. They're beauties.

And of course, an updated family pic has to be uploaded as well.

I think I'm ok, for now. Though I do like the looks of the 10, and as a Beckerhead you pretty much have to have a 2. But those will be worries for later on.

The 15 is definitely going to loose its paint one of these days. I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing with the 11. I REALLY like how it feels in the hand. Maybe, just maybe I ought to leave the coating on and actually use it as a necker for a while? Even though I do like all those pics of stripped 11s with micarta.
We'll see, we'll see. There's no rush to it.

Nice haul! The 15 and 11 are my most recent, was well. Though they don't look like that anymore...

Air pousse un peu, mais oui, coupé beaucoup de choses!

The 5 in the family pic, I got on the exchange for a good price. Got it mainly because of the good price and it being a Becker, and holy smokes was I surprised with the performance of that blade! Surprise of the year for me, knifewise.

I think it's pretty damn awesome you show up in all of the 'new steel' threads saying thanks, but it's we who should be thankful towards you! And we are, definitely. So thanks for getting those great designs out there, and thanks for doing what you do. Thanks as well for the compliment. I think I'm out of 'thanks' now, lol.

For some reason, I don't see a lot of use for the 7 in my near future so it's pretty much at the bottom of my Becker-list. Which is still above a whole lot of other knives though...

You'll want one and you wanna know something? You'll probably get one too. That's what happens to us all, isn't it?

Already stripped the 15 (not underneath the scales) and forced a patina on it.

It IS really good at slicing...And since I wanted some meatloaf, why not?






Wasn't too happy with the patina though. I fear tiny specs of the base layer of the coating or something are still on the blade. might have to use stripper again. For now, scrubbed off some of the patina, and the waiting game begins again...
