I've really been taking a liking to these LE Wood Sebbies lately and cant decide what wood to go with bc they all look so good! I was just wanting to maybe start a wood LE thread & maybe everyone can chime in with their favorite inlay. Mine so far has to be the amboyna burl one Plaza Cutlery has on their website!! Just perfect to me, not too light...not too dark!!! What are you guy's favorites?
 
I'm really in love with the California Buckeye Burls. Hope to one day snag one to keep my 2005 large Curly Maple LE company.
 
Don't know if they make a LE in Lignum, but that would be my preference. Great color and grain. Love the durability and the clincher for me was to read that it's considered a spirit wood with healing properties, especially arthritis. Most likely from the use of the resin in treatments. I still ache, but it's hardly noticable when holding my Sebbie. :)

Does anyone know if the make a LE in Lignum Vitae????? I would so love to buy one of those!!!!!!

I've been eyeing Lignum Vitae as the inlay for a Mnandi for awhile know. Once I get the Mnandi, I would oh so love a matching LE sebbie.
 
Redwood burl, specifically the one I have, is my favorite.
 
I dont know what is my absolute favorite but I'm partial to buckeye burl, box elder, amboyna burl and snakewood.
 
For me it's Box Elder. But having said that, California Buckeye Burl has some of the most gorgeous examples of timber i've ever seen on knives.

Can't really concentrate with TheKnifeCollector's Wolf smiling in the background :D That's one fancy avatar :p
