Leaf spring knife

Just wondering what a knife made from leaf springs would end up looking like.

You posted this in the wrong subforum, but I'm sure a mod will move it to the correct one for you. As for what a knife made from leaf springs looks like, it depends on how much finishing work you do--if you do a lot of grinding you can polish it up to the point where no one will ever be able to tell it was a leaf spring. That said, I'm more partial to the neo-tribal method of just forging it to shape. This is an example of a blade forged from leaf spring that was done by James Helm:

They can also look like this. Like was said above, depends on how much finish work you want to do. This one started as a 1956 Ford.

A leaf spring blade can look like anything you want it to.

Heck, people have been known to pattern-weld with them.
