Learning knife making skills in CA

Hi folks, I've wanted to start making knives for a long time, and I just haven't had the space to set up a shop, not even a back yard spot. Just the way life's been. I'm wondering if there's a school or a shop in my area where I could start learning. I'm in the Santa Cruz area of California. Anyone have a thought? So many knife ideas, time for me to get cranking! There's an ABS hammer in here in Visalia this weekend. It starts Friday morning and ends on Sunday. It would have been a good event for you. I met a guy today who drove 5 days to come to this. A few more who flew in from other states. If you leave at 4 in the morning you can make it in time tomorrow
