I've been following this forum ever since someone on another forum pointed me here. I was told the Jerry released half-dozen new knives in the past year on THIS forum...well BF.com and I'm curious...how does that happen? That is, does he just come on here and post a thread saying here's what I've got/am offering? Is it a sticky? Does he do it in the classifieds?

How do new offerings make it to BF.com and/or the Busse forum?

Thanks

Watch for the announcements from Jerry....you wont miss it when he has something that is to be available....... :) They are generally discussed for some months by Hogs who have either denied neding Busse Rehab or who have recently dropped out of the program and are looking for a fix.... ;)

Just watch the forum. Generally their will be discussion and pics posted before the knife is put up for sale.

There are examples on here now like the NMFSH link, Team Gemini Light Brigade link, and if you go back through the pages at the bottom of the screen, there are a few more that are going to be released hopefully this year. From what I have seen, not all knives that Jerry starts threads about get produced, but the vast majority do.

It's very simple. He just makes a post!

When he teases something or if it's a rotation in the production knife on their Web site, it's a regular (not sticky) post. These aren't technically released on the forum, just announced here.
But if it's going to go on sale Ganza style, it gets stickied. These are "released on the forum" somewhat in that you wait for Jerry's stickied "GO" posted on this forum and do what you can to score what you want as outlined in another "Specs, Pricing, Ordering info" sticky.
And sometimes if it's a custom shop production offering, it's stickied, too, like the Battle Pappy that was up for a long time last year.

But the best thing to remember is there aren't really any rules to it. Just some observations I've picked up that might have been a coincidence. Busse--it's not a natural science :p

Interesting...I'm going to have to learn the lingo here in regard to the wording of such thread titles.

Thanks

Glad someone else asked the question so I didn't have to.

It'd be great if there was some sort of a mailing list one could sign up to get notified when a new offering goes up for sale on the website (each time it changes).

*Hint hint*

There is, just send Pokey a email and sign up for the Newsletter!

Apparently I don't have permission to send PM's....Really?? Does that cost money here??? If so it's the first of over a dozen forums where that is the case. I'm guessing it's just a glitch.

In any case what is her email addy?

EDIT: Wait...I can't edit/create a signature either?!?...REALLY??

Thanks!

Another question...

I see lots of people saying they've ordered this knife or that knife from Busse....CURRENTLY... Will Busse make any knife upon request or what? Like can I order a Battle Mistress of some sort, Kukri (I think they call it something different though), etc.??

How are all these different knife requests being fulfilled?

Thanks

Probably a custom shop order if it's not a currently produced knife. The cost uses the LE's price from when it was in production as the base price.
They'll make it for you if they have a blank for the model available. Otherwise, if you want a true custom piece of INFI, it's about $100 per inch.

Its really pretty simple.

OK, don't tell anybody, but here is how to get all the cool inside info:

Secretsquirrel mailing list for advance notice of new offers: Send Amy a case of Clark Bars and two cases of Coors Light.

Special knife orders: Send Jerry a bottle on Johnnie Walker Blue, and Garth a bottle of Cabo Wabo Blanco.
